The Koak Kaok (Philemon buceroides) Preference for Food Types in Its Natural Habitat on Moyo Island

This research aims to; 1) obtaining a comprehensive and accurate description of the type, composition, nutritional content Philemon buceroides food in its natural habitat, 2) basis for preparing pellets, 3) input conservation efforts. Identification analysis types materials that birds eat using light microscope scanning electron (SEM). The composition chemical nutrients were analyzed Kjedhal Gunning Method (AOAC, 1970). As result, there are two kinds buceroides, sourced plant parts insects. Food form is nectar fruit from 9 species, 7 species providing nectar. It eats seven insects, Diptera, Cryptotympanus accuta, Hymenoprera, Kampi neurobasis, larvae, Orthoptera Oecophyla samaradigna. consists 4 types, namely protein 36.8%, carbohydrates 29.6%, fat 20.73%, fiber, vitamin A, B, C, various minerals water 10 - 76%.
